Chelsea face an important summer in the transfer market as they look to improve their squad further following Enzo Maresca's arrival.

Article continues under the video

Mauricio Pochettino joined the Blues last summer, however he lasted just 11 months in charge and left by mutual consent on 21 May after a post-season review meeting.

The Blues subsequently announced on 3 June that Maresca had been appointed as their new manager.

Although Todd Boehly has overseen a spend of more than €1 billion on new players since arriving at the club in 2022, there has been no success to show for it, with the Stamford Bridge outfit finishing 12th in his first campaign as owner and sixth in 2023-24.

However, Chelsea continue to target a raft of promising young players, despite the evident need for more experience in the dressing room.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen initially headlined Chelsea’s summer transfer targets, but the Blues are also looking at alternatives, and many other deals could well be completed in a bid to get their squad into shape.

The west London club have already signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu and Tosin Adarabioyo this summer, while Estevao Willian will arrive in 2025.

In addition, Chelsea have also sold the likes of Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall and Omari Hutchinson, with Hakim Ziyech and Thiago Silva departing on free transfers.

Our Chelsea transfer live blog brings you all the latest news surrounding the Blues, including exclusives from our own reporters as well as checking out what the other big names are saying (including the likes of Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein).

The Blues are expected to see several more players come and go this summer, and the Stamford Bridge rumour mill is already in full swing.

The very latest on Sterling's potential exit

Sterling open to Man Utd switch

Raheem Sterling is open to a move to Man Utd.

The Chelsea winger has been deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge by new manager Enzo Maresca and was unceremoniously dumped from the squad for the first game of the season last week.

Options are limited for Sterling due to his wage demands, but United has been mentioned as a destination, with Jadon Sancho potentially going in the other direction. (MEN)

Everton make approach for Fofana

Everton want to sign David Datro Fofana on loan from Chelsea.

The Toffees are desperate for more firepower in the final third, especially with the continued exit rumours surrounding Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Neal Maupay.

Fofana spent last season on loan at Union Berlin and then Burnley, and could be set for another temporary move away. (TeamTalk)

NO Saudi move for Osimhen

It appears Victor Osimhen and his agent are against the Napoli star moving to the Saudi Pro League.

Roberto Calenda wrote on Twitter today: "Osimhen is a Napoli player, with a contract recently renewed with mutual satisfaction. He made history  and when there were major offers (also this year) we always accepted the club's decisions.

"As I said, it is not a package to be shipped far away to make room for new prophets. Victor was elected African footballer of the year, eighth at the Ballon d'Or, he still has so much to do in Europe. There is need respect and balance."
