Chelsea are 'going all out' for goalkeeper Mike Penders, according to Belgian media and Fabrizio Romano.

The Blues wonderkid extravaganza continues. Despite having already signed a host of talents this summer, the Chelsea transfer train won't be stopping anytime soon.

The west London giants currently have two deals in the pipeline that will be made official this week. 22-year-old goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen is set to join from Villarreal in a €24.5 million deal to compete for the No.1 spot with Robert Sanchez.

Additionally, Aaron Anselmino is currently in London to complete his medical tests ahead of joining the Blues from Boca Juniors. Chelsea are set to pay a little over €20m for the 19-year-old centre-back and will loan him back to his current club until January.

Now, Chelsea have seemingly unearthed another gem and they are seriously considering snapping him up.

Chelsea want Penders

First revealed by HLN and since confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are interested in KRC Genk goalkeeper Mike Penders. The Belgian outlet says that the Blues are 'going all out' for him, but Romano insists that they are still considering whether to make a move.

The 18-year-old only made his senior debut for Genk on Sunday, playing the full 90 minutes and keeping a clean sheet against Standard Liege in the opening round of the new Jupiler Pro League season.

The current Belgian U19 international is set for a 'million-dollar transfer' but will not join up with Chelsea immediately. The Blues are aiming to loan him back to Genk to gain more experience in his domestic top flight.

According to Romano, nothing has been agreed yet but talks are ongoing. The Italian transfer expert has revealed that his talks with Penders are not in any way connected to the impending arrival of Jorgensen. The deal to sign the Dane is not in jeopardy and Penders 'would be one for the future.'
