Chelsea forced to act as 'agreement reached' with €30m target
AC Milan have reached an agreement with Strahinja Pavlovic, according to Italian media.
It is the sign of a good player to keep performing in the face of adversity. Pavlovic, it appears, falls into exactly that category. The RB Salzburg defender is coming off a pretty disappointing season at the team level, but he has done enough to impress.
Salzburg's decade-long vice group on the Austrian domestic game was broken by double winners Sturm Graz before Pavlovic and Serbia crashed out of Euro 2024 in the group stage. Despite this, the 23-year-old is now a sought-after commodity.

Indeed, a host of clubs, including many from the Premier League, have taken an interest in the centre-back. Newcastle and Brentford have been linked with the Serb, while Chelsea were most recently added to his list of suitors.
However, the club seemingly pushing the most to secure his signature are AC Milan.
Milan strike agreement
At least that is according to Gazzetta dello Sport, which reports that the Rossoneri have already agreed terms with Pavlovic's agent Zvonimir Vukic.
It is claimed that the basic structure of a deal on the player's side has been settled on, though not all of the final details are set in stone yet. Nevertheless, it is thought that Milan have made good progress in their bid to land Pavlovic.

The Serie A giants are ready to offer around €20 million for the 23-year-old, while Salzburg reportedly value him at €30m. The Italian outlet, however, reveals that, as the talks have only just begun, there is still more than enough room to strike a deal.
In fact - and this is a worry for Chelsea - the report states that Salzburg know they won't be able to keep hold of Pavlovic as he has his heart set on a move to Milan. The Serb, it is claimed, "will hardly accept another destination."
