Strasbourg are locked in a battle to sign Guela Doue, according to French media.

The Doue brothers appear to be on the move this summer. 19-year-old Desire Doue is one of this window's most-talked-about players, having been scouted by pretty much every elite club in Europe.

The Stade Rennais winger has made headlines in recent weeks due to being at the heart of a tug-of-war between Bayern Munich and PSG, who have both already launched formal bids for a player described as Rennes' biggest talent since Ousmane Dembele.

The likes of Arsenal and Chelsea have also been keeping close tabs on him, but clubs have thus far refused to match Reness' €60 million valuation. However, Desire isn't the only Doue expected to leave Stade Rennais this summer.

His brother, Guela Doue, will also leave Brittany and it seems that BlueCo, Chelsea's owners, have also been watching the full-back during their scouting trips for Desire.

Strasbourg want Doue

That is because Chelsea's BlueCo affiliate Strasbourg have 'positioned themselves' to sign the 21-year-old, according to Footmercato. The right-back has been heavily courted by Galatasaray but is said to be reluctant to join the Turkish giants.

This has given other clubs hope of snapping him up, with Strasbourg at the front of the queue. The problem is that they, despite BlueCo's backing, reportedly can't afford to match Doue's wage demands.

The Alsatian club find themselves locked in a battle for his signature, with an unnamed Premier League club also said to be in the race. Wiley is not necessarily against joining Strasbourg, but BlueCo will have to open their wallets if they wish to lure him into their orbit.

It is not yet clear how much Strasbourg are prepared to pay for the 21-year-old. Galatasaray had previously submitted a bid in the region of €6m.
