Chelsea's busy summer continues with at least two more players set to arrive at Stamford Bridge in the coming days.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen is on the verge of joining the club in a deal worth a little over €20 million. After an initial €20m offer, the Blues submitted a fresh bid closer to the LaLiga side's €25m asking price and an agreement is being finalised.

The Italian transfer expert reports that the deal to sign 22-year-old Dane is 'imminent' and expected to be fully completed this weekend. The player is keen on the move and Chelsea swiftly managed to agree personal terms with him.

Jorgensen is set to bolster Enzo Maresca's options between the sticks, with FootballTransfers reporting that the Italian had requested Chelsea sign another shot-stopper capable of playing his system to compete with Robert Sanchez.

Anselmino done deal

While Romano has not yet dropped his famous 'here we go' on the Jorgensen deal, he did so regarding Aaron Anselmino. The Argentine youngster is set to travel to the UK on Monday to complete his medical.

Earlier on Saturday, Chelsea and Boca Juniors had finalised an agreement for a transfer worth a little over €20m. However, Anselmino will not remain in London.

The 19-year-old centre-back will eventually return to Buenos Aires and remain with Boca Juniors until at least January.

Gabriel Mec talks continue

While the deal to sign Anselmino has been completed, Chelsea remain locked in negotiations with Gremio for 16-year-old wonderkid Gabriel Mec, according to Ben Jacobs.

Not much information regarding the talks has leaked, but negotiations have already dragged on for longer than initially anticipated. When links with the attacking midfielder first cropped up in the middle of last week, it was expected that Chelsea would wrap up the deal by the end of the week.

Omorodion pursuit has not ended

Jacobs has also revealed that Chelsea have not given up on their pursuit of Samu Omorodion, though there has been little progress in talks with Atletico Madrid.

The Spanish giants remain firm in their stance that he is not for sale and it would take at least €70m to get them to entertain talks. So far, all of Chelsea's bids have clocked in below €50m.

What's more, Atleti are trying to tie the striker down to a new contract with €120m, which would surely end Chelsea's hopes of signing him once and for all.

Maresca will surprise people

New signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is insisting that head coach Enzo Maresca is the perfect man for the Chelsea job. The midfielder thrived under Maresca at Leicester last season and is confident that they can continue their successful cooperation.

"The manager was a big catalyst in wanting me to come," Dewsbury-Hall told the BBC. "I knew from Leicester, a club that went down and had a lot of problems, how he managed to galvanise that, if everyone manages to buy into the system.

"I genuinely think in a short space of time we can be pushing for minimum top four - but more than that. He may be unknown for a lot of people, but he is top, top level. He will surprise a lot of people."

One of the main tactical tweaks Maresca is looking to implement involves star man Cole Palmer. The Athletic reports that the Italian will move him into a No.10 role on a permanent basis.
