Nico Williams blow

Barcelona are set to open talks with Chelsea target Nico Williams this week, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Spain international, who shone at Euro 2024, has a €58m release clause at Athletic Club, but his wage demands are said to be extremely high, which has put the Blues off.

Barcelona, however, are determined to sign Williams and Joan Laporta recently admitted that the Blaugrana are capable of signing the 22-year-old.

Romano has now revealed that Barcelona will step up their pursuit of Williams this week, while they are prepared to spend their entire summer budget on the Spaniard.

Marc Cucurella hits back at Gary Neville

Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has hit back at Gary Neville after the ITV pundit suggested Spain wouldn’t win Euro 2024 due to his inclusion at left-back.

Cucurella, however, shone during the tournament and he provided the match-winning assist for Mikel Oyarzabal as Spain beat England 2-1 in the final.

In response to Neville, the Blues star posted on Instagram: “We went all the way Gary. Thanks for your support.”

Milan agree Strahinha Pavlovic terms

AC Milan have reached an agreement with Strahinja Pavlovic, according to Italian media.

The RB Salzburg defender had recently emerged as a shock target for Chelsea, but the Blues look to have missed out, with Gazzetta dello Sport revealing that Milan have agreed terms with Pavlovic’s agent.
