Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the Blues have set their asking price for Chalobah at €35-42m (£30-35m) as they look to offload him before the transfer window shuts.

According to Romano, Chelsea believe they have enough depth across the centre-back and right-back positions ahead of the new season, and the decision has been made for Chalobah to be sold.

Three Premier League clubs have reportedly made initial contact, while Chalobah also has interest from foreign teams who can offer European football.

However, the Englishman still has four years left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge, after signing a new long-term deal in late 2022, meaning Chelsea may be unable to shift him.

Chalobah’s personal coach, James Ralph, has posted a training video of the Englishman which features a direct message from the Chelsea player, relating to his omission from the Blues’ pre-season tour of the USA.

The message read: “Time for us to get to work. Not time to feel sorry, we keep working. See you tomorrow.”

Trevoh Chalobah to leave Chelsea?

Despite leaving Chalobah out of their pre-season squad, Chelsea will struggle to sell Chalobah this summer, FootballTransfers has been told.

We understand that Chalobah won't allow himself to be pushed out of the club and will only make a transfer if it's right for himself.

We are told that Chalobah will only join a European club in the Champions League and will not entertain moves elsewhere, such as to sides in the Saudi Pro League.

Chelsea currently have Wesley Fofana, Levi Colwill, Benoit Badiashile, Axel Disasi and Tosin Adarabioyo as centre-back options, while academy stars Josh Acheampong, Alfie Gilchrist and Bashir Humphreys remain at the club.
