Fabrizio Romano confirms €20m Chelsea bid for ANOTHER youngster
Chelsea have tabled a €20m bid for Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues are continuing their policy of signing talented youngsters and their latest target is 22-year-old Dane Jorgensen.
Jorgensen is considered one of the best young goalkeepers in La Liga and enjoyed an excellent 2023-24 season.
Jorgensen made 37 appearances in all competitions last season.

Jorgensen is said to be keen on the move, but it remains to be seen how negotiations develop between Chelsea and Villarreal.
Jorgensen still has five years left on his current contract at Villarreal, having signed an extension in June, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at €21.9 million.
Chelsea are pursuing a new goalkeeper ahead of the 2024-25 campaign and have identified Jorgensen as their number one target for this position.

The Blues have struggled in recent years to find a number one goalkeeper who can nail down the starting shirt for years to come.
Indeed, since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital took charge in 2022, Chelsea have signed Gabriel Slonina, Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic.
None of these have done enough to be considered long-term options for the Chelsea shirt, while Kepa was loaned out to Real Madrid last season but struggled there and fell to third in their pecking order.
Chelsea move for another youngster
Chelsea now hope that Jorgensen can be the answer to their goalkeeping problems, despite his young age.
The Blues are refusing to change their policy of hoovering up the most talented youngsters around, despite this policy having failed miserably over the last two years.
Despite spending over €1 billion on new players in the last two years, Chelsea have failed to win a single trophy.
They finished 12th in the Premier League during the 2022-23 season and then sixth last term.
Chelsea have gone through Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, Frank Lampard (caretaker and Mauricio Pochettino as manager before Enzo Maresca was appointed for the 2024-25 season.
