Man Utd set for talks with Arsenal target after Euro 2024 scouting mission

Manchester United have reportedly scheduled a meeting with Ferdi Kadioglu’s representatives as they eye a summer move for the Fenerbahce defender.

Kadioglu, 24, shone for Turkey at Euro 2024 and FootballTransfers exclusively revealed that Man Utd and Arsenal sent scouts to watch him in action at the tournament.

Arsenal’s interest in the player has seemingly cooled slightly following their pursuit of Bologna star Riccardo Calafiori, but Man Utd remain determined to sign him.

According to Rudy Galetti, Man Utd have scheduled a meeting with Kadioglu’s entourage to discuss a possible summer move.

Fenerbahce will reportedly only consider offers of €25 million or more, although Jose Mourinho is believed to oppose any sale. The ‘Special One’ reportedly wants to keep Kadioglu at the club as he prepares for his first season in Turkey.

However, Fenerbahce have previously been linked with a move for Man Utd defender Victor Lindelof, so the Red Devils could theoretically look to use the Sweden international in a deal to sign Kadioglu.

Kadioglu made 51 appearances in all competitions for Fenerbahce last season, contributing three goals and five assists.

He has two years left on his current contract at Fenerbahce, while he has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €15.9m.

Man Utd chase new left-back

Left-back is an area of concern for the Red Devils, amid Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia’s recent injury woes, and Kadioglu is one of their key targets for the role.

Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell has also been linked with a move to Old Trafford, while FootballTransfers understands that Milos Kerkez is currently being monitored as Man Utd ponder a summer bid.

The Red Devils are set to face competition for Kadioglu, with Wolverhampton Wanderers interested in the Turkish star, while Borussia Dortmund appear unlikely to pursue a move.

Kadioglu is also on Liverpool’s radar, as per Calciomercato, as they prepare for life under Arne Slot.
