Chelsea & Man Utd accelerate pursuit of Euro 2024 hero
Chelsea and Manchester United are both interested in signing Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili following his performances at the 2024 European Championship.
The 23-year-old played a crucial role as Georgia reached the last-16 stage during the first ever major tournament and his form has caused several top clubs to ramp up their pursuit.
Mamardashvili had already been heavily linked with a summer departure after a stellar season for Valencia, but his displays at Euro 2024 have intensified links of a Premier League switch.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, both Chelsea and Man Utd are interested in signing the shot-stopper, with a move to England currently the most likely scenario. However, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also keen on the Georgia international.
Chelsea currently have Djordje Petrovic and Robert Sanchez as goalkeeper options, while Andre Onana is the undisputed number one at Old Trafford following his €50.2 million move from Inter Milan last summer.
Mamardashvili has three years left on his current Valencia contract and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at €27m.

Chelsea and Man Utd’s summer transfer business
Chelsea have already signed Tosin Adarabioyo and Omari Kellyman so far this summer, while they have confirmed that Brazilian wonderkid Estevao will join the club in 2025.
Man Utd are yet to sign anyone during the 2024 summer transfer window, while the likes of Raphael Varane, Anthony Martial and Shola Shoretire have left the club on free transfers.
The Red Devils are, however, seriously pursuing a move for Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt and the Netherlands international could become their first signing of the summer.
