Man Utd name Jadon Sancho’s transfer fee: How much is the PSG target REALLY worth?
Jadon Sancho remains one of the main topics of the summer transfer window for Manchester United, with PSG ready to launch a bid for the England international.
Although officially United have indicated that Sancho’s spat with Erik ten Hag is over, the likelihood of the winger having a major role to play at Old Trafford in the 2024/25 campaign appears to be slim.
PSG are close to agreeing personal terms with the 24-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, yet there is no agreement between the clubs.
But how much are Man Utd asking for Sancho, and is this reflective of his true value at this time?

What is Sancho worth?
Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has outlined the situation regarding Sancho’s PSG move as it stands.
“Jadon Sancho remains on the list of PSG, but there’s still no direct contact made with Manchester United, so it’s not a proper negotiation,” Romano explained on his YouTube channel. “The dream target was Khvicha Kvaratskhelia but Napoli don’t want him to leave. PSG are considering other options, including Sancho. But it’s just an interest for now.”
The Mirror, meanwhile, reports that Man Utd will demand €47.5 million (£40m) for the ex-Manchester City youth.

Sancho’s price tag is a perfect reflection of his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV), a unique algorithm that calculates player worth based on hundreds of in-game statistics and is free of any human bias.
FootballTransfers’ place Sancho’s value at €41.5m, with the range in this price going as high as €51.9m and, therefore, including Man Utd’s asking price.
Sancho’s peak ETV of €108.7m, though, reflects the quality of player that the Red Devils have missed out on.
Sancho's transfer value over time
Whose fault this is will be a source of eternal debate. Sancho’s professionalism has been questioned at times since his €85m transfer from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021, but equally, he would point the finger at the club for failing to give him the best conditions possible to operate in.
While it is tempting for fans to clamour for such a fee for Sancho, the reality of the market is now that no club is willing to spend that type of money on the winger.
As such, €47.5m would represent fair value to both Man Utd and PSG, while it would also give the winger a much-needed opportunity for a new start.
