The Premier League giants are undergoing an extensive overhaul off the field this summer as new minority-owner Jim Ratcliffe sets about an Old Trafford revolution.

Omar Berrada has been recruited from Manchester City as chief executive, Jason Wilcox as technical director, Dan Ashworth has finally been confirmed as sporting director after leaving Newcastle, and the club have also completed the surprise appointment of Christopher Vivell as interim director of global talent.

On the field too there promises to be major changes, with big earners like Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial departing, and the club ready to listen to offers for plenty more first teamers.

United are active in the market with a deal struck for Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee, whose move to AC Milan collapsed when the Rossoneri refused to pay a €15m commission to agent Kia Joorabchian.

The FA Cup holders are also in talks with Bayern Munich over a deal for centre back Matthijs De Ligt.

PSG looking to sell Ugarte

Ugarte, 23, signed for PSG from Sporting CP for €60m last summer, putting pen to paper on a five-year deal.

He enjoyed a fine start to life in Parc des Princes but ultimately fell out of favour with Enrique as the season progressed.

The Spanish coach is happy to entertain a sale this summer and is pushing to reinvest in another midfielder.

For their part, PSG want to earn their money back on Ugarte and have established a €60m asking price for the ball-winner.

Ugarte's transfer to Old Trafford has been the subject of club-to-club discussions between PSG and United with the French club understood to have insisted on an all-cash deal.
