Ten Hag issues URGENT Man Utd transfer message
Erik ten Hag has admitted that Manchester United “need more players” ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
Joshua Zirkzee became the Red Devils’ first summer signing when his €42.5 million move from Bologna was officially confirmed last week, and Ten Hag is desperate to be backed in the transfer market.
Man Utd are currently pursuing Leny Yoro (Lille), Matthijs de Ligt (Bayern Munich) and Jarrad Branthwaite (Everton) as they search for a Raphael Varane replacement, while Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte appears to be their priority midfield target.

The Old Trafford side spent over €200m last summer, yet Ten Hag was only able to guide the club to an eighth place finish in the English top flight - their lowest ever finishing position in the Premier League era.
However, the Dutchman masterminded an FA Cup final victory over rivals Manchester City, which earned him a new contract at the club.
Despite constant speculation regarding potential signings, Ten Hag has urged the Red Devils to bolster the squad available to him.

What has Erik ten Hag said?
Following Man Utd’s shock 1-0 friendly defeat to Norwegian side Rosenborg, Ten Hag was quick to admit that his side needs reinforcements.
“I think we showed we can beat the best team in the world on the last occasion of the season,” Ten Hag told reporters, as per the Man Utd website.
“So when everyone is fit, we already have a good team and achieve a high level.
“But also we know, in the depth, we need more players. Especially this season, again more games, the new model, the new format of Europe - you'll have more games in a season, more intense games, no winter break, a January that's very condensed.
“You need squad depth. Then it's more and more about survival of the fittest.”
