Hannibal Mejbri could be set for another loan exit from Manchester United, according to a report.

Despite the fact that the Tunisian looked to be on the verge of breaking into Erik ten Hag's first team after some impressive performances ahead of the winter, he was ultimately sent away from the club.

Mejbri joined Sevilla on a six-month loan in January, but the move quickly became a nightmare. The 21-year-old was frozen out of the side almost immediately after arriving and he would only go on to feature sporadically in Andalusia.

After just six appearances, Sevilla unsurprisingly decided against making his move permanent and Mejbri returned to Man Utd. With his contract up next year, the Red Devils face a tough decision over his future.

It was previously claimed that Man Utd were working to extend his contract, but little came of it, leaving the club at risk of losing him for free next summer. Despite this, it seems that he could be set for another loan.

Rangers want Mejbri

According to Africafoot, the Tunisian is still undecided on his future, but he has received enquiries from outside the Premier League. The outlet claims that FC Copenhagen have made contact with Mejbri but that he is not particularly keen on the move.

Additionally, it is asserted that Rangers have tested the waters regarding a potential loan move. This comes after Mejbri featured for Man Utd against the Scottish giants on July 20 in a friendly that notably marked the unofficial debut of €70 million signing Leny Yoro in Red Devils colours.

The outlet goes so far as to suggest that Rangers boss Philippe Clement has made Mejbri a 'priority' and that 'negotiations are advanced between all parties.' It remains to be seen if anything will come of this, but Hannibal is surely desperate to get his career back on track.
