The two giants are battling over the 18-year-old, who has shone for Lille in Ligue 1 this season, playing 44 matches across all competitions and catching the attention of numerous clubs.

Although PSG also carry an interest in Yoro, whose contract runs out next year, it is Man Utd and Real Madrid who have made formal offers for the teenager.

The Old Trafford side have launched a €60 million bid for the player, which includes €50m up front and €10m to follow.

FootMercato reports that Real Madrid made a move of their own, offering just €20m for a player with an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €28.5m.

Lille have apparently taken Madrid’s bid as an insult and are now working to persuade Yoro to move instead to Man Utd – despite the fact the player has made it his goal to move to the Bernabeu.

Man Utd aggressive for Yoro – Romano

Fabrizio Romano, the football transfer news reporter, has outlined the current situation.

“Manchester United had an official bid for Leny Yoro accepted by Lille. Their president Olivier Letang is pushing for Leny Yoro to join Manchester United. They want him to go there because the best proposal is from them,” he explained.

“Man Utd have been very aggressive. They have bid €50 million plus add ons worth up to €60m.

“Out of contract in 2025, Man Utd are offering big money to anticipate all the other clubs. Now the decision is for Leny Yoro.

“Lille hope that he chooses to go to Man Utd but Real Madrid are still there and feel they are in control. Why? The only way for Real Madrid to make the deal happen this summer, as with Eduardo Camavinga, another special talent, is to close the deal on their conditions. They won’t pay a €60m package – not at all. Otherwise, they’ll wait until August maybe to get the deal done under their conditions. They could wait until 2025 because they know that Leny Yoro will not sign a new deal with the French club.”

This stance is echoed in FootMercato’s report, which indicates that Real Madrid remain in the driving seat, despite Man Utd’s bid and Lille’s response.

“In a position of strength thanks to the fierce determination of the young player to join the Bernabeu side, they do not want to make a financial splurge and want to quietly close the deal,” it is stated.
