Manchester United are witnessing a 'favourable trend' in talks with Leny Yoro, according to French media.

The Lille wonderkid will be on the move this summer, that much is clear. One of Europe's most exciting young talents, the 18-year-old will be allowed to leave the Ligue 1 side due to only having a year left on his contract.

Europe's elite view Yoro as a 'market opportunity' as his contract situation means that Lille are not in a position to demand an exorbitant amount of money for him.

However, the problem that his suitors have thus far faced is that the Frenchman has his heart set on joining Real Madrid. Los Blancos have been courting Yoro for months and his head has been fully turned.

After signing Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid are reluctant to break the bank on a teenager and this has thus far seen them refrain from acceding to Lille's demands. This has allowed Man Utd to swoop in.

Man Utd making Yoro progress

Last week, the Red Devils launched a big-money offer for Yoro seemingly out of the Blue that was swiftly accepted by Lille. Since then, the Ligue 1 side have been pushing for Yoro to change his mind and open up to the possibility of moving to Old Trafford.

According to French journalist Nabil Djellit, who broke the news of the Man Utd bid, the total value of the proposal stands at €62 million, divided into a guaranteed payment of €50m and €12m in bonuses.

Crucially, Djellit now reports that Man Utd have opened contract talks with Yoro, which seems to suggest that the player's transfer stance may be softening. Indeed, he claims that there is currently a 'favourable trend and open door to Man Utd.'

Real Madrid remain in the picture, but it appears highly unlikely that they will match the Red Devils' offer. The ball is firmly in Yoro's court and it appears as though Man Utd may be edging towards landing a real transfer coup.
