Man Utd could RE-SIGN former star
Manchester United could re-sign Mason Greenwood in the future after inserting a buyback clause in his Marseille contract.
Marseille completed the signing of Greenwood last week, paying an initial €26 million, with an additional €5m in add-ons and a sizeable sell-on clause.
But it has also now emerged that United inserted into the deal a buyback clause which gives United the option of bringing Greenwood back to Old Trafford for a set fee.

Greenwood, who has signed a five year deal at Marseille, was put up for sale after it became clear it was impossible for him to continue his career at Man Utd.
Greenwood hadn’t played for Man Utd since he was arrested in January 2022 on suspicion of rape and assault.
The Englishman’s charges were dropped after key witnesses pulled out last year and he returned to football with a loan spell at Spanish side Getafe in the 2023-24 season.

He scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 36 appearances for the club as they finished 12th in the LaLiga table.
Lazio, Juventus, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund had all been linked with signing Greenwood in recent months, but it was Marseille who completed the deal.
New Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi was delighted with the signing of Greenwood.
He told the media: “Mason is a world class player.
“I don't know what happened but I am not used to get involved in my players' private life. But you have to know that I treat all my players like my sons. I can tell them off in private but I would never attack them in public.”
Greenwood scored 35 goals in 129 games for Man Utd and was expected to become a key player for club and country until his off-field problems.
