Man Utd AGREE Greenwood sale - Ornstein
Marseille have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood.
The Ligue 1 club are set to pay €27.6 million for the 22-year-old, plus a further €4m in potential add-ons, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
Although the deal has been agreed between Marseille and Man Utd, Greenwood himself is yet to accept the move.

Greenwood hasn’t played for Man Utd since he was arrested in January 2022 on suspicion of rape and assault. The Englishman’s charges were dropped after key witnesses pulled out last year and he returned to football with a loan spell at Spanish side Getafe.
He scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 36 appearances for the club as they finished 12th in the LaLiga table.
Juventus, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund have all been linked with signing Greenwood in recent months, but a move to Marseille will take place if he gives his approval.

New Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi recently commented on his club’s pursuit of Greenwood. He told the media: “Mason is a world class player but we have not recruited him yet.
“I don't know what happened but I am not used to get involved in my players' private life. But if he comes here, you have to know that I treat all my players like my sons. I can tell them off in private but I would never attack them in public.”
Marseille fans protest Greenwood signing
As relayed by RMC, scores of Marseille supporters have taken to social media, primarily X, to voice their opposition to this potential transfer with #GreenwoodNotWelcome.
One fan wrote: “What makes us love this club is above all its values. Don't betray them.”
A large Marseille fan page simply posted a picture of Greenwood with the above-mentioned hashtag and the tweet has since garnered more than 4000 likes and 1000 retweets.
