Man Utd to sell 'most clutch' star as Premier League rivals 'up the ante'
Fulham are 'upping the ante' in their pursuit of Scott McTominay, according to a report.
The Manchester United midfielder is once again facing an uncertain future. Speculation surrounding the Scotland hero has been ripe, with some claiming that he could be set for a new contract now that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is on board, while others state that he will be sold this summer.
McTominay has struggled to nail down a regular place under Erik ten Hag, though he has been described as Man Utd's 'most clutch' player due to the sheer number of important, late goals he has netted for the Red Devils.

The 27-year-old already appeared to be leaving last summer when West Ham were interested, but no move ultimately materialised. With Man Utd yet again operating on a restricted budget, McTominay could be sacrificed to raise funds and it increasingly looks as though this is exactly what will happen.
Fulham step up McTominay chase
At least that's according to GIVEMESPORT, which reports that Fulham are 'upping the ante' in their pursuit of the midfielder. It is claimed that coach Marco Silva views the Man Utd star as an ideal upgrade for the Cottagers.
Faced with the loss of Joao Palhinha, who remains in talks with Bayern Munich, Silva wants to boost his options in the middle of the park, though McTominay is very a different player to the Portuguese.

The report asserts that Man Utd are open to letting the Scot leave at the right price. McTominay's value has plummeted in recent seasons under Ten Hag and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently sits at just €16.9 million, down from a 2022 peak of €33.7m.
Fulham are yet to decide how much they are willing to shell out for the Man Utd man, with Man City outcast Kalvin Phillips also targeted as a potential reinforcement and more like-for-like Palhinha replacement.
