FootballTransfers runs through the latest Manchester United football transfer news updates, including the latest on Martin Zubimendi, Xavi Simons and Chido Obi-Martin.
Man Utd want Martin Zubimendi
Man Utd will rival Arsenal for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, according to The Athletic.
Zubimendi, who has a €60m release clause, has emerged as a key midfield target for Erik ten Hag, but the Spain international has shown absolutely no inclination or willingness to leave his boyhood club this summer.

According to Romano, Simons will only leave the Parc des Princes on loan, and Leipzig are confident of receiving a green light to sign the 21-year-old.
It comes after Spanish outlet Sport reported that Man Utd are lining up a €100m bid for Simons.
Chido Obi-Martin boost
Man Utd are hoping to sign Arsenal wonderkid Chido Obi-Martin and a potential move has now edged closer to completion.
Obi-Martin was in line to sign a scholarship deal at the Emirates Stadium, before being handed a professional contract when he turned 17.
However, he has been excluded from the Gunners’ list of new scholarship deals, meaning he is now expected to leave the club on a free transfer.
A move to Old Trafford appears most likely and Man Utd want to finalise a deal soon.
Man Utd want a new right-back
Man Utd are eyeing a move for AS Monaco right-back Vanderson as they look to sign a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is wanted by West Ham United.
Sky Sports have reported that Vanderson has emerged as a potential candidate to seal an Old Trafford move this summer, while Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong is also an option.
The Red Devils are also interested in Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui, as per Sky Germany.
