'Here we go!' - Romano confirms Archie Gray's next club
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Leeds United youngster Archie Gray.
The 18-year-old emerged as one of the Championship’s most exciting young players last season and he has been heavily linked with a big-money summer move for several months.
Brentford were on the verge of signing Gray, but the move collapsed due to a disagreement over payment structure. Gray had accepted personal terms and was willing to join Thomas Frank’s side, however he is now set to sign for Tottenham instead.

The north London side have agreed a deal in principle with Leeds, as per Fabrizio Romano, and the move has been given the transfer expert’s famous ‘here we go’ stamp of approval.
Gray has accepted Tottenham’s offer and is set to join Ange Postecoglou’s side for around €47 million (£40m).
In addition, Spurs defender Joe Rodon will join Leeds in a separate deal for roughly €11.8m (£10m).

The Wales international spent the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Elland Road and played a key role in their run to the Championship Play-Off Final.
This summer, Tottenham have already signed Lucas Bergvall from Djurgardens for €10m, while Timo Werner has re-joined the club on loan.
How will Archie Gray fit in at Tottenham?
Gray demonstrated immense versatility during his first season of senior football, with the England U21 international playing equally at both right-back and in central midfield.
This has no doubt played a role in Tottenham’s desire to land him, with Spurs eager to bolster their first-team squad following a promising debut campaign under Postecoglou.
Gray is regarded as one of England’s brightest youngsters and many have tipped him to make a late push for the Three Lions’ 2026 World Cup squad.
He may be gently eased into the Tottenham first-team next season, although he will likely find himself in their first-choice starting XI by the time 2025 rolls on.
