Osimhen WAITING for one club amid Chelsea rumours
Victor Osimhen is 'waiting' for PSG to reignite talks over a transfer, according to Italian media.
The transfer saga surrounding the Napoli striker has been turned completely on its head in recent days. First, a transfer to PSG collapsed due to Osimhen's current employers making demands deemed unreasonable by the French champions.
The talks were initially put on ice before FootballTransfers exclusively revealed that they were not only on hold but dead in the water, with PSG moving on. In the wake of this, it was revealed that Napoli were now open to a potential swap deal with Chelsea as they are still intent on getting their number one target Romelu Lukaku.

David Ornstein then reported that talks over just such a deal were taking place, though an intriguing detail he mentioned was that Osimhen could initially head to Chelsea on loan. This prompted an angry response from the player's agent, Robert Calenda, who insisted that his client would not be part of 'imaginative exchanges.'
Osimhen wants...PSG?
Fabrizio Romano has since shed light on the situation, confirming that talks over a swap indeed took place but insisting that a loan is out of the question. In part, this is due to Chelsea's inability to pay all of his wages and Napoli's unwillingness to still contribute even when he's no longer their player.
Now, Gazzetta dello Sport has chimed in, claiming that Osimhen is still waiting for PSG to reignite the talks as they are the only European club capable and willing to pay his full wages in the event of a move.

Additionally, of course, PSG will play in the Champions League and will be the favourites for domestic success, which is something that Chelsea simply can't offer.
So, despite the fact that the Blues have often been described as the 25-year-old's 'dream destination, the above-mentioned report insists that the player would prefer a move to the French capital. Though surprising, it is not an outlandish suggestion given how swiftly the player gave PSG a green light on personal terms.
