Victor Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli this summer, but a move to the Saudi Pro League is currently his only “concrete” option, according to reports in Italy.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with Chelsea, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain over the past few months, however his €130 million release clause is deemed far too expensive for all three clubs.

As things stand, Saudi Arabia is Osimhen’s most likely next step, as per TuttoNapoli.

The Italian outlet have revealed that a move to the Premier League or PSG is currently “far away,” while Osimhen’s only “concrete” option is the Saudi Pro League.

Al-Hilal are seemingly leading the Saudi Arabian charge for Osimhen, with Jorge Jesus’ side eyeing a big-money move for the Nigerian international.

Osimhen scored 17 goals in 32 club appearances last season, while he has two years left on his current Napoli contract.

The former Lille forward was present for Napoli’s first day of pre-season under Antonio Conte, but reports in Italy suggest that an exit is extremely likely.

Napoli have been fairly inactive so far this summer, with Matija Popovic arriving on a free transfer from Monza, and Piotr Zielinski (Inter) and Diego Demme (Hertha Berlin) departing upon the expiration of their contracts.

Victor Osimhen unlikely to seal Premier League move

Chelsea and Arsenal were considered the frontrunners to sign Osimhen in early 2024, but their interest has cooled amid Napoli’s eye-watering asking price.

With a move for the Nigerian now unlikely, Chelsea have purchased Barcelona youngster Marc Guiu, while they are currently targeting a move for Atletico Madrid star Samu Omorodion.

As for Arsenal, their pursuit of a new centre forward has quietened down in recent weeks, but it remains an area of concern.

The Gunners have been linked with Viktor Gyokeres and Brian Brobbey, although a move for Benjamin Sesko has been ruled out following his contract extension at RB Leipzig.
