Victor Osimhen has made it no secret that his goal is to one day play in the Premier League. The Nigerian has been dreaming of playing in England's top flight ever since he was a child.

Over the course of the last year, it seemed like Chelsea were the most likely to make that dream happen for Osimhen. However, the Napoli forward may have to wait a little bit longer in order to realise his ambition.

Chelsea are in no position to pursue a lucrative move for Osimhen due to Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). Napoli meanwhile want to demand a hefty fee for a player who is regarded as an icon in Naples.

But while Chelsea may not have the financial might to lure Osimhen to Stamford Bridge, Paris Saint Germain in France may just be able to offer him an alternative destination.

According to L'Equipe, talks between Napoli and PSG are 'not finished yet' and the latter will concretely reignite their pursuit of Osimhen in the coming days. In fact, the Parisians are set to make a move for the Nigerian imminently.

PSG plot Osimhen swoop

The site reports that while PSG's negotiations have stalled with Napoli over a potential deal for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the French side are keen to ramp up talks with the Serie A team over Osimhen, who is seen as the club's desired target for the number nine position.

However, in order to be able to afford Osimhen's transfer fee, PSG will also be forced to sell first. Both Randal Kolo Muani and Gonçalo Ramos will be available for potential suitors this summer, and PSG are willing to listen to offers for the duo.

Whether the club can sell one or the other could determine whether PSG will be able to secure the services of Osimhen. Meanwhile, recent claims from Italy that PSG have made a €200m offer for Osimhen and 'Kvaradona' appear to be wide off the mark.
