Gyokeres bomb! Arsenal and Chelsea 'still keen' as cut-price deal possible

Arsenal and Chelsea both remain interested in Viktor Gyokeres, according to a report.
The Swedish striker is coming off a stunning debut season in Portugal. After being signed by Sporting CP from Championship side Coventry, Gyokeres netted an outrageous 43 goals in 50 games, while also contributing 15 assists.
Such a spectacular return naturally put the 26-year-old on the map for Europe's elite sides. The problem? Gyokeres has a €100 million release clause in his contract.

While Premier League giants such as Arsenal and Chelsea were linked with the Swede for months, the interest seemingly cooled over time due to concerns about the financial package it would have taken to prise him away from Lisbon.
Additionally, coach Ruben Amorim, after being linked with Liverpool and West Ham, eventually stayed put. Gyokeres owes a lot to the tactician and his agent even stated at one point that it would be difficult for the Swede to remain if Amorim were to depart.
Gyokeres on a cut-price deal?
Now, however, it seems that the race to sign Gyokeres is wide open again. At least that is according to TBR Football, which claims that Arsenal and Chelsea have retained their interest in the striker.
Both remain in the market for a centre-forward, though they are not scrambling to add any name simply for the sake of making up the numbers. Arsenal, after being snubbed by Benjamin Sesko, decided to target other areas of the field, like the left side of the defence, with Riccardo Calafiori close to joining.
Chelsea, meanwhile, did make some striker signings, snapping up 18-year-old pair Omari Kellyman and Marc Guiu. Despite this, the Blues could add another, more proven No.9, though they will first try to sell Romelu Lukaku and Armando Broja.

These two are only willing to pounce on potential transfer opportunities this summer. Gyokeres, despite his €100m release clause, could now be just such an opportunity.
The above-mentioned outlet claims that Sporting CP could now be willing to sell Gyokeres for around €70m after previously insisting on the full €100m. Why this is suddenly the case, the report does not care to mention, however.
