Lookman, 26, is pushing to leave Atalanta before the end of the summer transfer window and Paris Saint-Germain have been heavily linked with a move over the past week.

However, Arsenal have now emerged as contenders to sign the former Everton winger and have already lodged their first bid for the Atalanta star.

That is according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, who has reported that Arsenal have submitted a €50 million offer for Lookman.

Atalanta are currently asking for around €70m for the Nigerian, as per Pedulla’s report, and Arsenal are now considering including Kiwior in a player-plus-cash swap deal.

Lookman memorably scored a hat-trick during the 2024 Europa League final and Liverpool are also eyeing a potential summer move, with the 26-year-old currently not training with the Atalanta first-team.

Jakub Kiwior to leave Arsenal?

News that Kiwior could be included in a swap deal attempt to sign Lookman will come as little surprise to Arsenal fans.

Although the Poland international played a prevalent role during the second half of last season, he has dropped down the left-back pecking order following the summer arrival of Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber’s return to full fitness.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently admitted (as per Caught Offside): “There’s a serious possibility for Kiwior to leave but my sources guarantee to me that as of today, there are no concrete talks with any particular club.

“It’s not the case of one specific club already being in negotiations for Kiwior at this moment in time. My understanding, though, is that Kiwior would love to return to Italy.”

Atalanta head coach Gian Piero Gasperini is reportedly a fan of the Arsenal defender, meaning a deal is certainly possible.
