Aaron Ramsdale latest
Arsenal’s hopes of offloading Aaron Ramsdale to Ajax have taken a major blow.
The Eredivisie giants have been linked with signing the England international on loan, but they are now chasing Royal Antwerp’s Jean Butez, as per Sacha Tavolieri.
A move for Ramsdale is now in doubt, with Ajax already in contact with Butez’s representatives.
Santiago Gimenez blow
Arsenal target Santiago Gimenez could be set to join Nottingham Forest this summer.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have submitted a bid worth over €25 million for the Mexico international, but Feyenoord are holding out for a higher offer.
Arsenal were heavily linked with a move for Gimenez at the start of the summer window, following the failure to land Benjamin Sesko, although rumours have died down in recent weeks.
The 23-year-old has 53 goals and 13 assists in just 89 games for Feyenoord.
Ivan Toney latest
Gary Lineker has urged Arsenal to sign England international Ivan Toney following his omission from Brentford’s squad to face Crystal Palace.
Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Lineker said: “I like Ivan Toney a lot. I think he’s super talented and gives you a completely different from what else they’ve got.
“He’s a real threat and technically a really good footballer so I think he would fit in at Arsenal.
“Once you’re at the stage where a player is left out, the writing does appear to be on the wall.”
Everton join Eddie Nketiah race
Everton are interested in signing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah on loan, as per Football Insider.
The Englishman’s move to Marseille has collapsed, and multiple Premier League clubs are eyeing a late summer swoop.
Everton have now joined the race for Nketiah, with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace also interested in signing him.
