Lukaku and Chilwell OUT: Chelsea's likely Premier League squad
Chelsea are set for an extremely busy end to the summer transfer window as they look to finalise Enzo Maresca’s first-team squad.
The Blues have already signed nine new players so far this summer, while they could add both Joao Felix and Victor Osimhen before the window shuts on 30 August.
Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling is among the players who could leave the Blues before Deadline Day after his omission from the matchday squad to face Manchester City in Chelsea’s Premier League opener.

Chelsea’s predicted Premier League squad for the 2024-25 season
Each club in the Premier League is allowed to name a 25-man squad, with no more than 17 who don’t fulfil the “Home-Grown Player” criteria.
As per the Premier League’s website, “a Home Grown Player means a player who, irrespective of nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to The Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons, or 36 months, before his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21).”
Furthermore, players aged Under-21 (players born on or after 1 January 2003) aren’t included in the 25-man squad, and there's no limit on their inclusion at all - which is a boost for Chelsea given the number of youngsters they own.

In addition to Chelsea’s existing stars, we’ve included the aforementioned Joao Felix and Victor Osimhen in the club’s predicted Premier League squad list.
Felix is set to join the club from Atletico Madrid, while Osimhen to Chelsea seems almost inevitable given the Blues’ interest and Napoli’s desire to sign Romelu Lukaku.
Meanwhile, Trevoh Chalobah, Ben Chilwell, Conor Gallagher, Djordje Petrovic, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Tino Anjorin, Armando Broja, Romelu Lukaku and David Datro Fofana are all eligible, but they are likely to leave the club before the summer transfer window ends.
As a result, they have been excluded.
Chalobah has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs - including Crystal Palace and Aston Villa - while Ben Chilwell is of interest to Manchester United.
Conor Gallagher is expected to sign for Atletico Madrid and Lukaku is close to joining Napoli.
Furthermore, Armando Broja, David Datro Fofana, Tino Anjorin, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Djordje Petrovic are also set to depart.
Chelsea’s list of Under-21 players includes Levi Colwill, Malo Gusto, Renato Veiga, Romeo Lavia, Carney Chukwuemeka and Marc Guiu. They are in a separate category, along with the club’s academy stars, due to their age.
