Chelsea’s first-team squad incredibly have a combined 191 years left on their current contracts.
The Blues introduced a radical new transfer strategy following Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali’s arrival as owners in 2022, with the club prioritising the acquisition of young players on long contracts.
In total, Chelsea have permanently signed 36 players since the departure of Roman Abramovich two years ago.

Most of their stars are tied down to extremely long deals, with Cole Palmer even recently signing a two-year extension, despite the fact his existing contract wasn’t due to expire until 2033.
Signing players on long contracts has been a hallmark of the Boehly era at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea’s first-team squad have a combined 191 years left on their existing deals, as per Sky Sports News.

By comparison, Manchester United players have 82 years remaining on their current deals, Manchester City are at 71, Liverpool are at 64 and Arsenal are at 62 - the fifth lowest in the Premier League.

Cole Palmer has the longest contract at Chelsea. His current deal runs until 2033 after he recently penned a two-year extension.
Enzo Fernandez (2032) is second, while Filip Jorgensen, Moises Caicedo, Renato Veiga, Mykahilo Mudryk, Pedro Neto and Nicolas Jackson are all contracted until 2031.
The contracts of Robert Sanchez, Djordje Petrovic, Benoit Badiashile, Malo Gusto, Romeo Lavia, Omari Kellyman, Noni Madueke and Deivid Washington run until 2030.
