The Blues' attempts at cashing in on academy graduates in a bid to raise 'pure profit' continue. After the sale of Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid for €42 million, more homegrowns are expected to depart.

Trevoh Chalobah and Armando Broja have been excluded from the first-team squad. The latter was on the verge of joining Ipswich Town, but that deal is now on the verge of collapse. Chalobah, meanwhile, has no shortage of suitors but won't be rushed into making a decision.

Vale could be sold

Earlier this week, the 20-year-old was named as one of 15 players who could yet depart Stamford Bridge in the final few days of the window. Initially, however, the expectation was that Vale would only leave the club on loan after impressing at Bristol Rovers last season.

While the Blues are still willing to sanction a loan, it is now being reported that they have informed clubs that Vale is also available for a permanent transfer.

Chelsea have been fielding substantial interest in the attacking midfielder, who was the London giants' Academy Player of the Season in 2022 after featuring several times for the seniors under Thomas Tuchel.

One Premier League side, 'a host of Championship teams' and clubs from outside of England are all said to be considering moves for Vale. It is not yet clear whether he will ultimately leave permanently or only on loan. Leo Castledine is another youngster who is expected to still depart the Blues this summer.
