Chelsea push €56m star towards the exit with Neto transfer

Raheem Sterling could leave Chelsea in the wake of Pedro Neto's arrival, according to a report.

Portuguese winger Neto is on the verge of signing for Chelsea after the west London club worked in almost total secrecy to strike an eye-watering €63 million deal with Wolves.

Neto is already in London to complete his medical after which he will pen a contract until 2030 with the Blues. The 23-year-old is set to bolster Chelsea's wide options despite the fact that they already have several stars on both flanks.

In fact, Neto could not just reinforce the wide areas, he could also force one of his soon-to-be teammates out of the club. The player in question is Raheem Sterling, who has been the subject of speculation pretty much ever since he arrived.

The former England international has not been particularly impressive since his €56m move from Man City in 2022 and clubs are growing increasingly confident that they can lure him away from Stamford Bridge.

Juventus want Sterling

According to Di Marzio, Juventus are one of the sides with an interest in Sterling. Thiago Motta is reshaping the Old Lady and wants to add at least two wingers to his squad before the end of the window.

Talks with Fiorentina over Nicolas Gonzalez have already started, but he is primarily a player for the right side. Motta also wants a left-sided player and Sterling is one of a host of options being considered by the Bianconeri.

According to the report, however, Juventus are well aware that several unnamed English clubs are also keeping an eye on Sterling's situation. Nevertheless, the Bianconeri have asked for information on a potential transfer and are considering making an initial loan offer.
