Fabrizio Romano reveals SHOCK possible signing for Man Utd
Fabrizio Romano has revealed a shock possible late arrival at Manchester United before the end of the transfer window.
United have been one of the most active teams on the summer market, spending over €150 million on a host of new players.
The Red Devils have brought in Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna for €42.5 million, Bayern Munich duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui for a combined €60m, as well as France wonderkid Leny Yoro for €62m.
It was believed that United’s last signing this summer would be a central midfielder, with negotiations ongoing with PSG to bring in Manuel Ugarte.
However, Romano has revealed that United may yet sign another player before the end of the month.
Indeed, Romano claims that Tottenham left back Sergio Reguilon could return to United.
Reguilon spent the first half of the 2023-24 season on loan at United from Tottenham.
The 27-year-old is out of Tottenham’s plans for this season and would like to return to United.
What did Romano say?
“Another player who would love to return to Manchester United is Sergio Reguilon,” Romano said.
“He was already at the club one year ago, and he would be really open to returning. Man United are really aware of his situation at Tottenham, and that may be an opportunity again in the final days because he has to leave Tottenham in the final days.”
United could consider signing a new left back after Luke Shaw suffered yet another injury that will rule him out for the next weeks.
