Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid

Beginning with the biggest - and most controversial - transfer. Conor Gallagher is a lifelong Chelsea player. He is emblematic of the club and appreciated by the fans as a hardworking loyal Blue. But the hierarchy decided that he must be shipped on as they try and bring in pure profit.

Tottenham registered an interest in the 24-year-old but it was Atletico Madrid that pushed for the move and eventually got it. They gave Gallagher a deadline and Sky Sports reported that he only agreed to make move an hour before the deadline. The transfer is worth €40 million on a five-year deal that would keep him in Madrid until 2029.

Willian Pacho to PSG

Willian Pacho set to join Paris Saint-Germain from Eintracht Frankfurt. The centre-back had been extensively linked to Liverpool and it’s thought that scouts had monitored him for some time in the Bundesliga.

Fabrizio Romano reports that “an agreement has been reached for €40M + add-ons” and that “he will travel to undergo medicals this week. The move marks a shift in PSG’s recruitment, who had previously focused on big-name superstars, but now are looking at genuine upcoming, talented players who can make a difference.

Mikel Merino to Arsenal

The uncertainty surrounding Mikel Merino's future seems to be coming to an end. Reports suggest the matter of moving to Arsenal is nothing more than a formality for the Real Sociedad midfielder, while others, such as The Athletic, say the club are looking at a number of options.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is eager to bring the 28-year-old to the Emirates, and partner in a double pivot with Declan Rice for the new season.

Personal terms won’t be a problem as FootballTransfers reported and Arsenal's primary midfield target could potentially join for a transfer fee of up to €35m.
