Manchester United may have welcomed Jadon Sancho back into the fold at Old Trafford, but the England winger continues to be heavily linked with a transfer to PSG.

For several weeks, the Ligue 1 champions have followed the former Borussia Dortmund star as an alternative to Nico Williams, who has elected to stay at Athletic Club, despite a huge salary offer from the Parc des Princes club.

For their part, Man Utd have announced that Sancho has been pardoned for his falling out with manager Erik ten Hag nearly a year ago, which sent him spinning into exile at Dortmund in the second half of last term. Sancho is ready to play for the Red Devils’ first team again.

But he is equally still on the transfer market, with this a deal that could raise such funds to allow Man Utd to make further acquisitions. Ten Hag, after all, is still seeking players in numerous positions, including in attack, on the wing, in central defence and at least one full-back.

Sancho’s departure could be the catalyst for at least some of these deals to be struck, but how close is he to moving to PSG?

Sancho to PSG is ‘not hot’

Interest from the Ligue 1 side remains, yet the transfer remains in standby, according to the Daily Mail.

This stance is echoed by the French media. RMC states that while PSG have signed Joao Neves and remain heavily interested in Rennes winger Desire Doue, who is on Olympic duty with France, there is “nothing hot” with Sancho.

It states: “Nothing says that the England winger will be a PSG player in the coming weeks. For the moment, it is not a hot lead.”

As such, Man Utd may need to look elsewhere to sell Sancho or seek to offload other fringe members of Erik ten Hag’s squad to allow the signings to start to flow at Old Trafford.
