Liverpool make official offer for Federico Chiesa
Liverpool have made an official contract offer to Juventus star Federico Chiesa.
According to Nicolo Schira, Liverpool have offered Chiesa a contract worth €5 million a year until 2028.
Negotiations have also begun between the two clubs, with Juventus asking for €15m in order to sell Chiesa.
It is understood that Chiesa would like to move to Liverpool, with The Athletic further reporting that Liverpool are determined to complete the transfer before the end of the transfer window on Friday.

Barcelona are the other club who want to sign Chiesa and their coach Hansi Flick has held talks with the player over the phone.
However, Barca are hamstrung by financial restraints which made it difficult to even register new signing Dani Olmo.
Thus, Liverpool are favourites to complete the signing of Chiesa.
Chiesa has been transfer listed by Juventus since the end of last season and has been frozen out of the Juventus squad since pre-season, missing the first two matches of the season proper.

Why Juventus want to sell Chiesa
There are a number of reasons why Juventus want to sell Chiesa..
First of all, his contract expires in 2025, and contract renewal talks have ended.
Juventus were unwilling to match Chiesa’s demands of €7 million per season due to his constant injuries.
He missed most of 2022 with an ACL injury and has suffered 10 different physical problems in the last 18 months after returning.
Chiesa has yet to return to the levels that saw him explode as one of Europe’s best wingers at Euro 2020, and this is another reason Juventus are reluctant to give him a big contract.
New Juventus manager Thiago Motta also sees Chiesa as expendable and doesn’t believe he fits into his team tactically.
Juventus have since signed two wingers to replace him in Nico Gonzalez and Francisco Conceicao, and are also still keen on Jadon Sancho.
Chiesa struggled at Euro 2024, which has not helped his cause at repairing his reputation.
