Man City agree club-record Julian Alvarez transfer with Atletico - Ornstein
Manchester City have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Julian Alvarez, according to David Ornstein.
The transfer saga surrounding the Argentine has picked up a head of steam in no time. On Monday, his representatives arrived in Europe to discuss a potential move away from Man City due to the player's unhappiness with his game time.
On Tuesday, a deal has already been agreed that will see the World Cup winner and Copa America champion depart. According to David Ornstein of The Athletic and reports elsewhere, Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement with Man City.

It will be a club-record sale for Man City, who are set to potentially pocket as much as €95 million for the 24-year-old, with €75m to be paid upfront and an additional €20m achievable in bonuses.
Alvarez now has to finalise personal terms with the Madrid giants, though it is not expected to be a major issue. FootballTransfers understands that he is keen on moving to Spain and has favoured a move to Atletico over other destinations.
Chelsea domino starts
Alvarez's transfer to Atletico will set in motion an almighty transfer domino involving Chelsea. With Alvarez secured, Atleti will give the green light for Samu Omorodion to leave.
They had initially been keen to keep the Spanish youngster, but are now willing to sanction his departure, with persistence set to pay off for Chelsea, who have been in talks with the LaLiga side for weeks over the 20-year-old.

Omorodion is expected to cost roughly €35m-€40m, while Conor Gallagher is heading the other way for a fee in the same ballpark. The Chelsea fan favourite assented to a move on Sunday night shortly before a deadline set by Atleti passed. He is expected in Madrid today to complete his medical.
