How Man Utd will line up in 2024-25
Manchester United suffered their worst finishing position in Premier League history last season, with Erik ten Hag’s side ending the campaign in eighth place.
However, their FA Cup final win led to a contract renewal for the Dutchman, whose new deal runs until 2026.
In preparation for the new season, Man Utd have spent big in the summer transfer window as they look to climb the English top flight table.

How Man Utd will line up in 2024-25
Andre Onana’s first season at Man Utd was fairly up and down, but he is certainly an above average ‘keeper and he will remain as Ten Hag’s number one this season.
At right-back, the imminent arrival of Noussair Mazraoui promises to complicate things for Diogo Dalot, but the Portuguese international was one of the Red Devils’ standout players last campaign and he should keep his place in the starting XI.
Leny Yoro is currently injured, but the young Frenchman could well establish himself as a first-choice option once he returns to full fitness. He is likely to partner Lisandro Martinez at the heart of Man Utd’s backline.
Luke Shaw will remain as Ten Hag’s trusted left-back, although injuries are always a concern with the England international.
Manuel Ugarte could arrive to displace Casemiro at the base of midfield, but the ex-Real Madrid star is currently the most likely candidate to play next to Kobbie Mainoo during the 2024-25 season.
Bruno Fernandes will be deployed in a slightly more advanced role, with Mason Mount acting as his back-up, while Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho will play off either flank.
Amad Diallo and Antony are also options available to Ten Hag, but they will likely remain in reserve.
Rasmus Hojlund will begin the season as Man Utd’s number nine, however summer signing Joshua Zirkzee is also an option and could be given the nod.
