The 26-year-old will join Julen Lopetegui’s side in a deal worth €17.5 million, with Wan-Bissaka due to undergo his West Ham medical on Monday.

He will become the Hammers’ sixth signing of the summer transfer window, following the high-profile arrivals of Maximilian Kilman, Crysencio Summerville, Niclas Fullkrug, Jean-Clair Todibo and Guido Rodriguez.

The move threatened to be delayed by a late issue, but that has now been resolved, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

Wan-Bissaka’s move to east London has now been “fully agreed” and he is expected to join the club before their opening Premier League fixture of the 2024-25 campaign against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Wan-Bissaka will leave Man Utd having made 190 appearances for the club, while he helped the Red Devils win the 2023 Carabao Cup and the 2024 FA Cup.

Man Utd’s summer transfer plans

Following the sale of Wan-Bissaka to West Ham, Man Utd will confirm the arrivals of Bayern Munich duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui for a combined initial fee of €60m.

The pair agreed personal terms several weeks ago, but Man Utd were only able to finalise an agreement with Bayern last week.

Mazraoui’s move to Old Trafford has always hinged on Wan-Bissaka’s exit, and with the ex-Crystal Palace star now departing Man Utd, the Moroccan will take his place in the first-team squad.

In addition, Man Utd remain interested in signing a new central midfielder, although their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte has stalled due to the Uruguayan’s €60m price tag.

Burnley’s Sander Berge is being considered as an alternative, as exclusively reported by The Transfers Podcast, while FootballTransfers understand that Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Joao Gomes is also admired by the Man Utd hierarchy.
