Man Utd eye SHOCK move for Chelsea star
Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka before the end of Transfer Deadline Day.
The 20-year-old has been frozen out by Enzo Maresca and he is currently training away from Chelsea’s first-team squad.
Crystal Palace and Barcelona have both been linked with a move for Chukwuemeka in recent weeks, but Man Utd have now entered the race to sign him, as per Sky Sports.

Chelsea are already in negotiations with the Red Devils regarding a potential move for Jadon Sancho, with the ex-England international eager to seal a Stamford Bridge switch.
Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell have been touted as possible options to move in the opposite direction, although a move for the latter has been ruled out, and Arsenal are considering a move for the former.
However, Man Utd are now interested in agreeing a deal for Chukwuemeka.
DEADLINE DAY: Every confirmed transfer around Europe
As per Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, a swap deal involving Sancho and Chukwuemeka is not on the cards, but Man Utd could look to sign the Chelsea midfielder if they are able to offload Sancho to west London.
Chukwuemeka joined Chelsea from Aston Villa for €18m in August 2022, and he has made 27 first-team appearances for the club, scoring two goals.
The England youth international has four years remaining on his current contract at Stamford Bridge, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at just €4.4m after an injury-hit campaign.
Will Raheem Sterling leave Chelsea?
FootballTransfers understands that Mikel Arteta has contacted Sterling regarding a potential move to Arsenal, with the pair enjoying a fantastic relationship after their spell together at Manchester City.
Maresca has also admitted that Sterling should push to leave Chelsea if he wants to play regular football.
Ahead of Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Servette on Thursday night, Blues head coach Enzo Maresca told the media: “I prefer to be honest with players. The ones who are not involved are not going to be involved and they won't get any minutes if they stay.
“I don't know what happens when the window closes if they are still here. The ones who will get minutes are the ones I think can help us.”
He continued: “Raheem is a fantastic guy who has trained very well. Every manager has a different idea and he is the kind of winger that is not one that I like. History and numbers speak for Raheem. He knows exactly what he needs to do.
“The rest are training apart, they are not going to get minutes. I have been clear and honest with them.”
