Sancho to Barcelona? Romano reveals Man Utd truth as winger 'agrees terms'
Barcelona are not in talks with Manchester United over Jadon Sancho, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils winger continues to be the subject of intense speculation. Left out of Man Utd's Premier League opener against Fulham, there is a keen interest to see whether Sancho will be part of the squad for Saturday's game with Brighton.
Erik ten Hag was asked about the winger on Thursday and refused to give a definitive answer. "We will see. We have a squad and I hope we will have a squad with double positioning and when we go into the season after 1 September, that means also you can’t select all the players for a game.

“But you need them all throughout the season because this season will be the survival of the fittest. The attitude of the players is very important, sometimes they will be disappointed, but they have to deal with it. You don’t win with 11, you win with a squad. The prizes are decided next May and until then we need all the players in the squad and highly motivated to contribute.
“That is not an expectation, that is a demand from the club and from me as manager of the squad. The team is always more important than any one individual.”
Romano on Sancho
In recent days, there have been rumours of a spectacular Barcelona swoop for Sancho, but Fabrizio Romano insists that there is nothing to those links.
Instead, Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman and Juventus outcast Federico Chiesa are options, with Spanish media claiming that the latter has already 'agreed personal terms.'

“Barca are looking at opportunities on the market like Kingsley Coman, who is still a name to watch, as well as Federico Chiesa, who is available,” Romano told CaughtOffside. Chiesa is also represented by the same agent who looks after Marc Pubill, another player that’s being linked to FC Barcelona.
“Despite the reports, there are no updates on Jadon Sancho and Barca so far. There are several other opportunities on the market and Barca will take some days to decide, so we will wait and see what’s going to happen there.”
