Manchester United are interested in signing Barcelona winger Raphinha this summer, according to reports in Spain.

Raphinha, 27, is eager to stay at Camp Nou, but the Blaugrana are open to a sale as they look to generate money following the €55 million purchase of RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Dani Olmo.

Spain winger Nico Williams also remains a key target for Barcelona, although he has taken the No.10 shirt at Athletic Club ahead of the new campaign, suggesting that he won’t leave before the 2024 summer transfer window closes.

Despite their failure to sign Williams, Barcelona are still open to letting Raphinha leave and any offer over €60m will be accepted, according to Sport.

The Spanish outlet have also reported that Man Utd have re-entered the race to sign him. The Red Devils already have a plethora of winger options, but they are reportedly ready to sell Antony, while Jadon Sancho could leave on a permanent deal too.

As a result, Raphinha has emerged as a key target.

The Brazilian scored six goals and provided nine assists in 28 LaLiga appearances last season, while he was even more prolific in the Champions League, notching five goal contributions in just seven games.

Raphinha’s current Barcelona contract runs until 2027 and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at €29.9m.

Raphinha to join Man Utd?

Despite their reported interest in Raphinha, Man Utd appear to be directing their attention in other areas.

Erik ten Hag’s side are close to formally announcing the arrivals of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich, and their immediate next focus is believed to be regarding a new central midfielder.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte remains their priority, FootballTransfers understands, although they are also interested in signing Burnley’s Sander Berge, as exclusively revealed by The Transfers Podcast.
