Man Utd to get Ugarte boost from Chelsea and Osimhen
Manchester United’s pursuit of Manuel Ugarte could be aided by Chelsea, reports suggest.
The Red Devils have made the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder their number-one target for the remainder of the transfer window. At the moment, however, the French outfit are holding out for €60 million for the 22-year-old, an amount that Man Utd are refusing to pay.
PSG are hoping to recoup a majority of what they paid Sporting CP last summer for Ugarte (€70m) but it’s thought that there is a degree of brinkmanship between them and Man Utd at present and the price will lower.

Man Utd are tight on funds and need to move on more players before they can look to match any sort of fee expected for Ugarte.
Scott McTominay has been linked with a move to Napoli. Man Utd have made the Scotland international one of their sellable assets this summer. But the Serie A club cannot afford to match what the Red Devils want for the player.
Premier League rivals Chelsea could alleviate that problem, though, according to Gianluca di Marzio via Tuttonapoli, who reports that Man Utd want €20m for McTominay.
If Chelsea manage to secure the services of Victor Osimhen then it would enable Napoli to free up enough funds to buy the No.6, which would in turn grant Man Utd enough funds to purchase Ugarte.
Ugarte made number one Man Utd target
It comes after FootballTransfers exclusively revealed that Man Utd had made Ugarte their number one target.
We were told that PSG head coach Luis Enrique does not have the midfielder in his plans for the season ahead but the Ligue 1 champions still remain firm on their €60 million valuation.
Agent Jorge Mendes is in England, and it’s thought that a line of communication will be opened once again regarding a deal for his client.
Sources inform us that there is a degree of confidence a deal will be agreed upon, but it is likely towards the end of the window when Man Utd can get better terms.
There is an acknowledgement by PSG that Ugarte will leave this window. Those at the club have regularly told us that Man Utd are not the only side at the table for the 22-year-old.
Ugarte is hoping to join the Old Trafford club after being informed that he will receive limited game-time under Enrique and personal terms are not expected to be a problem.
The Red Devils are looking for a holding midfielder to play alongside Kobbie Mainoo and the No.6 Ugarte is seen as a top target.
