Man Utd Transfer News Today: De Jong REIGNITED, signing VERY CLOSE, Toney DETAILS
The latest Manchester United football transfer news updates, with the hottest updates on all the potential new signings and sales at Old Trafford, including Frenkie de Jong, Noussair Mazraoui and Ivan Toney.
’Obsessed Ten Hag chasing De Jong’
Man Utd are once again linked with a move for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong – a player they have been associated with in each of the last two summers.
El Nacional reports that the Red Devils have already approached Barca with the offer of a swap deal involving winger Antony, but that their advance has been knocked back because the Brazilian is not a player the Camp Nou side want.

On the other hand, the door is still open for De Jong to leave the Catalan club, with the Netherlands international star’s huge wages fuelling a deal.
Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag is said to be “obsessed” with getting a deal done for his former Ajax protege.
FABRIZIO ROMANO TRANSFER NEWS: Man Utd moves EXPECTED, Barcelona FRUSTATED, Juventus CHANGES
Romano’s Man Utd latest
Fabrizio Romano says that Man Utd are ready to launch fresh bids for Bayern Munich pair Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
“Movement is expected at Manchester United in the next days. Over the weekend, Man Utd have conversations with two players. They’ve been very clear: they will bid again for Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui,” Romano confirmed via YouTube.
“After the approaches they had weeks ago on the players’ side, because Man Utd have an agreement with both players – five-year contracts with options, both players want to go to Man Utd. Now United will try again. They told the players via their agent, Rafaela Pimenta, that they will attack again.”
Romano also confirmed an agreement with PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte still stands, but that negotiations in this case could take longer.
TodoFichajes, meanwhile, reports a deal for Mazraoui is “very close”.
Wan-Bissaka fee set
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be allowed to leave Man Utd this summer for around €21 million (£18m), according to the Daily Mail.
West Ham are the likeliest buyers of the former Crystal Palace full-back.
Man Utd are actively seeking to move the player on to create space in their squad to sign Mazraoui.
Wan-Bissaka’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) has fallen to €12.6m and the defender has only a year left on his contract.
Toney rumours grow
With Rasmus Hojlund set to miss the first six weeks of the season due to injury, Man Utd’s links with Ivan Toney have been building once more.
In the summer, they were priced out of a deal for the England international but the Telegraph reported last week they could reconsider that stance.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank has spoken of the situation: “What I’m focusing on is that Ivan is a Brentford player and I’m very happy that he’s here. If he’s here when we start the season, I would be over the moon. I’ve said before we’re a selling club but what I know is that Ivan is a player for us.”
Toney’s position is vulnerable, though. He only has a year left on his contract and a big offer could tempt the Bees into selling, even if his replacement Igor Thiago is out long term.
Toney’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at just €16.1m, in part because he missed the first half of last season due to suspension.
Pacho heading for PSG
Ecuador defender Willian Pacho has been followed by Premier League clubs Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool, but Sky Sports Deutschland reports he is closing in on a move to PSG.
It reports: “Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Willian Pacho! Negotiations for the Eintracht star are at an advanced stage. According to Sky’s information, the transfer fee is around €45m, including possible bonus payments. Paris sporting director Luis Campos and Frankfurt counterpart Markus Krosche are now clarifying the final details.
“The 22-year-old defender has already verbally agreed on a long-term contract with PSG. The medical check is expected to take place this week. Pacho's contract with SGE is valid until 2028.”
