Man Utd are inching close to a deal for Manuel Ugarte, who has been made available by Paris Saint-Germain despite being with the club for a little over a year.
We previously revealed that the Premier League giants had made the 23-year-old their number one target for the remainder of the summer transfer window.
We also reported that PSG would be open to a loan with an obligation to buy clause attached or a permanent transfer.
The French champions have stressed that they would not let Ugarte depart without seeing a return of €60million - an amount Man Utd are not prepared to meet. However, we do understand that Man Utd's move for the youngster is not contingent on whether Casemiro, one of the club's highest earners, is sold. The Brazilian international is expected to deputise for Ugarte should his arrival materialise. It's thought that the deal will go down to the wire.
Sancho has €100m potential
Jadon Sancho represents an interesting opportunity on the transfer market, and according to The Athletic, Man Utd “sense” that their Premier League rivals Chelsea may sniff out a move for the former Borussia Dortmund winger.
Sancho has been surplus to requirements so far this season at Old Trafford.
He had a public falling out with Erik ten Hag last season, and so far this campaign, the head coach has not selected the 24-year-old for either of the Red Devils’ competitive matches.

Tyrell Malacia move collapses
PSV Eindhoven briefly considered a summer move for Man Utd left-back Tyrell Malacia, but his fitness problems made a deal impossible, according to Dutch media.
In search for players who can strengthen the defence of the Eindhoven team, the name of Tyrell Malacia has been mentioned at the Philips Stadium. This is reported by journalist Mounir Boualin of Soccernews. However, Malacia has not become a concrete option for the Brabant club, which has to do with a specific reason.
According to Soccernews, PSV discovered that Malacia hasn’t fully recovered from his latest injury set-back and they opted against seriously pursuing a move.
The Dutchman hasn’t featured since May 2023 and he missed the entirety of last season due to a knee injury. In any case, The Athletic report that Man Utd will not put an end to their search for a left-back, believing the likes of Diogo Dalot and new man Noussair Mazraoui are capable of filling in if Luke Shaw and Harry Amass are absent.
