Man Utd Transfer News Today: Fofana deal ON BRINK, Ugarte LATEST, Berge TWIST
The latest Manchester United football transfer news updates, with the hottest updates on all the potential new signings and sales at Old Trafford, including Manuel Ugarte and Youssouf Fofana.
Man Utd miss Wharton
Man Utd missed out on the chance to sign Adam Wharton, according to Andy Mitten of The Athletic.
The midfielder made the move to Crystal Palace in the January window, where he's been a standout performer. The London club told FootballTransfers that they would want some £100m for the player.
Man Utd could get Ugarte boost
Manchester United’s pursuit of Manuel Ugarte could be aided by Chelsea, reports suggest.
PSG are hoping to recoup a majority of what they paid Sporting CP last summer for Ugarte (€70m) but it’s thought that there is a degree of brinkmanship between them and Man Utd at present and the price will lower.

Scott McTominay has been linked with a move to Napoli. but Serie A club cannot afford to match what the Red Devils want for the player.
Premier League rivals Chelsea could alleviate that problem, though, according to Gianluca di Marzio via Tuttonapoli, who reports that Man Utd want €20m for McTominay.
If Chelsea manage to secure the services of Victor Osimhen then it would enable Napoli to free up enough funds to buy the No.6, which would in turn grant Man Utd enough funds to purchase Ugarte.
Fofana off to Milan
The Red Devils' efforts to sign Youssouf Fofana have come crumbling down as the Frenchman has almost decided to sign for AC Milan, according to reports.
The Serie A giants want to strengthen their midfield under head coach Paulo Fonseca and now have found a great suit. Fofana had been eyed by the Red Devils but now Foot Mercato have stated the 25-year-old is nearing a move to the San Siro.
A total agreement between the two clubs has almost been reached for €35m in total, it is thought, and Fofana is expected in Milan in the coming days to undergo his medical before signing a contract until 2028.
