Manchester United were beaten on penalties by Manchester City in the Community Shield, yet Erik ten Hag’s side have secured a big win in the transfer market. After days of negotiations, David Ornstein has confirmed that Bayern Munich have accepted offers for both Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.

Conversely, Aaron Wan-Bissaka will join West Ham in a deal that makes this all possible. The Red Devils have had to give the former Crystal Palace right-back a substantial payoff to make this possible.
