Romano drops Rabiot update: Decision made after Man Utd snub
Adrien Rabiot's transfer options appear to be decreasing by the day.
The French midfielder is still a free agent after leaving Juventus and his future is seemingly no closer to be resolved. Despite club football having long since returned, the former Man City prospect appears to be in no rush to find a new employer.
Italian media recently reported that the 29-year-old was still on vacation while his eccentric mother and agent, Veronique, was sounding out the market.

However, clubs have been reluctant to enter negotiations with Rabiot's mother due to her sizeable wage demands for her son. Juventus had presented a very lucrative contract offer to get him to extend but even that was not good enough.
Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that Rabiot had been offered to long-term admirers Man Utd several times over the summer, but they simply refused to entertain his excessive needs.
Barcelona have been linked but they appear even less capable of signing him given the issues they already have with their wage bill. So, what next for Rabiot?
Romano on Rabiot
Due to being a free agent, Rabiot is not desperately scrambling to move before any transfer deadline, though registration windows could prove an issue down the line and he is in a bit of an 'embarrassing situation' regarding his place in the France team.
Turkish clubs have been associated with the Frenchman and Galatasaray, in particular, appear keen. The Istanbul giants, who just loaned Victor Osimhen from Napoli, have also been linked with Man Utd midfielder Casemiro as they look to strengthen their centre of the park.
However, Romano reports that Rabiot's stance on a move to Turkey remains unchanged. The 29-year-old was unwilling to head to Istanbul earlier this summer and he is still not particularly attracted by the prospect of moving there.

This means that his options are now limited. With clubs in Europe's top leagues evidently not believing that he is value for money - even on a Bosman - he may have to get creative if he wants to avoid a prolonged spell out of the game.
Big-name stars Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial, both free agents, are on the verge of signing with Brazilian clubs. Could South America also beckon for Rabiot?
