The Turkish summer transfer window will shut on 13 September and Galatasaray have shifted their attention to Jorginho after missing out on both Casemiro and Scott McTominay.

Manchester United sold McTominay to Napoli during the final week of the Serie A window, while Casemiro opted to snub a move to Istanbul in favour of remaining at Old Trafford.

As a result, Galatasaray are now targeting Jorginho as they look to sign a new central midfielder before Deadline Day. However, Arsenal will not allow the 32-year-old to leave the club, according to talkSPORT.

Jorginho signed a one-year contract extension in May and although his existing deal is now due to expire in 2025, Arteta is eager to retain the Italian.

The ex-Chelsea midfielder is yet to feature so far this season, however he remains a key player at the Emirates Stadium and he could make his first appearance of the campaign versus Tottenham Hotspur.

Jorginho made 36 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
