Ben Chilwell was offered to three Turkish clubs but did not receive a response, according to a report.

The former Chelsea vice-captain has been told to leave the club and find himself a place where he will play regularly by new coach Enzo Maresca, but this is proving very difficult indeed.

A big earner, the left-back failed to secure a move when the transfer window was still open in Europe's biggest leagues and, truth be told, interest in his services was minuscule. Brentford enquired about him, but nothing came of it.

Man Utd were heavily linked without ever actually being concretely interested. It seems this theme still continues. Chilwell's last resort - unless he wants to sit in the stands for the next four months - is a move to Turkey, but the prospects of a transfer materialising are looking slim.

Chilwell snubbed by Turkey

At least that is according to journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, who claims that Chilwell was offered to three of Turkey's biggest clubs without receiving a reply.

It is asserted that Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Basaksehir essentially ghosted the former England international despite the fact that previous reports claimed that Jose Mourinho's Fener were interested in the 27-year-old.

Not much information is provided except that Chilwell was ignored by the three sides in question. If true, it leaves the defender with little choice but to bite the bullet and remain at Stamford Bridge.

Recently, it was claimed that contrary to other reports, Chilwell had been made a member of Chelsea's 'Bomb Squad,' which means that he has been removed from the first team and forced to train with the rest of the club's unwanted players.

The former vice-captain has not been included in Chelsea's Conference League squad and was told in no uncertain terms by Maresca that he will not play under him.
