After Chelsea transfer mess: Osimhen dropped agent for Galatasaray talks
Victor Osimhen conducted the negotiations with Galatasaray without his agent, according to Italian media.
The Napoli striker's messy summer is set to reach a conclusion at last. After transfers to PSG, Chelsea and Al-Ahli fell through, Osimhen will now join Galatasaray on a loan to get out of Naples.
The wantaway forward had been angling for a big move during the summer windows of Europe's big five leagues, but no transfer ultimately materialised, with clubs either unwilling or unable to afford him.

On Deadline Day, talks with Chelsea went right down to the last few seconds of the window, but an agreement just couldn't be reached. In the wake of this, stories proliferated of Osimhen being furious with his outspoken agent Roberto Calenda and the latest news coming out of Italy suggests that they will no longer work together.
Osimhen negotiated Gala deal himself
During the course of the summer window, Calenda took to social media several times to publically address speculation surrounding his client such as dismissing claims that he could join Chelsea on loan or move to Saudi Arabia.
This wouldn't have made him a popular figure among interested clubs and his failure to secure a move seemingly was the straw that broke the camel's back for Osimhen.
Il Mattino reports that, rather than relying on Calenda, Osimhen took matters into his own hands when Galatasaray came knocking. The outlet claims - and this has also been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano - that the striker employed the services of George Gardi to help him get the transfer over the line.

Gardi is known to have a good relationship with Turkish clubs and previously brokered the deal that saw Dries Mertens head from Napoli to Galatasaray.
There have been suggestions that Osimhen has fired his agent, but the above-cited report makes no mention of this. Indeed, it seems more plausible that the agreement between the player and his representative simply expired upon the conclusion of the window.
